Frequently asked
Can Blackboard or Canvas courses be imported into Moodle directly?
Only partly. Their exports don't map cleanly onto Moodle, so course structures are rebuilt and quizzes, files and SCORM packages are converted and checked.
Do learners keep their history?
Yes, where the old platform allows it to be exported: enrolments, completions and grades are imported, and certificates can be re-issued.
Will the site be offline during a server move?
Only during the final switch-over, usually one to two hours, planned when your learners are least active.
Can you also upgrade Moodle during the move?
Yes. Moving and upgrading in one project is often the cheapest and safest option.
